The Top 4 Tech Must Haves For Your Next Event

The last event that you have attended- did you notice how technology trends in meetings have been shifting? It’s not so old fashioned anymore with the typical whiteboard and projector. Meeting planners have been a lot more inspired and it has been changing the way the audience interacts in the event itself! Reaction Audio Visual is a nationwide event technology provider and we have seen so many different set ups. These are our 4 event technology must haves for every event/meeting:

 

1. Video Equipment: Whether you have projectors or video monitors- this is vital for your audience engagement. Video monitors are great to keep up with your audience’s retention levels. Since they are typically placed on the side of the stage, this helps those sitting in the back to get the same experience as those in the front row. This would be perfect for showing the speaker close up, or showing a PowerPoint slide to have your attendees follow along with the event notes. If you have a booth at a trade show- video monitors are so useful when placed into your booth to show your company’s portfolio, information and history.

Reaction AV set up this booth for Twitch during PAX East 2015. Twitch had a lot of interactive video monitors,
which interested many people and as a result grew the booth’s attendance.

 

 

 

2. Custom Stage Set: Having a scenery that matches your event is a great way to capture attention! A basic stage set consists of a stage backdrop, and two video monitors on the sides (but you can get creative with it if you want). This really adds some design detail because you can brand your meeting with your logo and colors. With the décor costs these days, you could save a lot of money going this route (and your event will still look pretty awesome).

3. Audio Equipment: Speaker systems, wireless mics, mixers, etc.; figure out which ones you need- (you might need all of them to have a successful event). Also take note of how to use and connect all of these- if you have no clue be sure to hire an AV tech! Having wireless mics is ideal to keep things interesting and fast moving!

4. Support Gear: Depending on the kind of event you have, you may need laptops, networking equipment, speakers, cue lights, etc. It pays to invest in the right equipment. Be sure to have enough lights for your staging area- you don’t want your speaker to be left in the dark.
