From Trainers to Champions: Powering Esports on the Global Stage
In August 2025, Anaheim became the epicenter of competitive Pokémon, hosting the Pokémon World Championships, a global event featuring the Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC), Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE, and the grand opening ceremony. Spanning August 15–17, the championships drew players, fans, and streamers from around the world, culminating in a live-streamed finale on Sunday, August 17.
We were tasked with producing the event’s audio-visual experience, transforming the venue into a high-energy esports arena that delivered immersive experiences for both in-person fans and online audiences.

Audio Visual Production Highlights
We produced two stages and delivered complete video capture and streaming for the entire event, ensuring the action reached both fans in Anaheim and viewers worldwide. Highlights included:
-
Dual Stages: The Main Stage for championship finals and the Programming Stage for panels, cosplay, and previews—both equipped with long LED walls, supporting screens, and immersive audio-visual systems.
-
Massive LED Displays: Expansive LED walls showcased gameplay, graphics, and event content, while flown LED screens across the hall ensured every fan had a clear view.
-
Immersive Audio & Lighting: Powerful sound systems and expertly programmed lighting elevated both live gameplay and streamed broadcasts.
-
Video Capture & Streaming: Multi-camera coverage, live switching, and broadcast engineering delivered high-quality streams of every match, panel, and showcase to a global audience.
-
Seamless Content Delivery: Player cams, real-time graphics, and event content were flawlessly integrated across all screens and streams.

Through thoughtful design, precise engineering, and seamless coordination, we brought the Pokémon World Championships to life inside the Anaheim Convention Center for one unforgettable weekend. Fans on-site experienced an immersive, arena-level production, while viewers around the world tuned in to high-quality live streams that captured every battle and moment of excitement. None of it would have been possible without comprehensive event design and project management, bringing together technology, creativity, and teamwork to deliver a world-class championship.
